Congratulations to Riekie Krause, Anja Grassman and Wilma Cordier on receiving the Vocational Award from the Rotary Club. The trio work for the National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa and they specialize in Sexual Offences. They received this reward in recognition for their devoted and unselfish “Service Above Self” on the 30th of May.
This is an annual award and is only given to a limited number of people in the community, who the Rotary Club of Klerksdorp recognize as being employees or individuals who give exemplary service in their vocation or selfless contribution to the community.
At the Award Evening President Brian Smith, emphasized to the nominees that the Rotary Vocational Service Award is a world-recognized award and one that they should be very proud of accepting. It is a most important document to be kept and used in their resume should they ever wish to further their career or studies as proof of their skills in their chosen profession and the excellent manner they exhibit professionalism and service to customers or clients.
Rotary’s Vocational Service Awards, recognize those exceptional employees within our community who have ‘gone the extra mile’ in the pursuit of the success of their business or trade. In doing so they represent the Rotary model of “Service above self”.
