Mr Klerksdorp 2018
“I would like to focus as title holder to motivate and inspire individuals to make a difference but change passion as well.
To give hope and building this community stronger, doing things for as well as with my community because I am not better than the person next to me.
With the touch of God’s love who is strengthen me and giving me this passion and keeping me humble, you truly realize your inner capabilities. We are so much more worth what we label our self. I also want to fulfil individuals dreams and one of the projects which I have in mind- dedicated to the individual is called “Crous’s Chain.” Life’s true gift lies in your freedom to design it beautifully.
With each rise of the sun, you get to the chase the opportunity to fill your days with meaning. Be yourself, that is your identity.” Pierre Louw

Gofaone Steven Mokgatle
“My name is Gofaone Steven Mokgatle (16). My main focus, as the Mr Klerksdorp teen 2018 is on most of the local NGO’S and our current youth.
‘Being crowned is just the beginning of what I want to achieve as an exception of different kinds of stereotypes.’ Bringing More businesses on board would be really helpful, as funding is a real problem when coming to NGO’S. My goal is to build a better, safer community for all. I want to humbly urge different businesses to become on board and help me sail this ship.
Local NGO’S which really play a big role in our community examples, SANPARK, FEED A CHILD, and many more. Training and development of our current youth are also one of my long-term goals. If our youth is not developed now, we going to have a real problem in the future. Joining hands as a community, leading the development and training of our current youth.
This will help minimise the number of youth involved in crime, substance abuse. With developed youth, this will help fight poverty and I humbly request anyone who’s able to make a difference, even to 1 life it means a lot. It was never about the number, but about making a difference generally.
Let’s also take good care, of our senior citizens( grandparents). I want to give thanks to them, for building this beautiful country with lack of resources and technology they still managed and we now have a beautiful rainbow nation. Our current youth should learn from our grandparents and take after them as they set a very good example in our community.” – Gofaone Steven Mokgatle
Mrs Klerksdorp 2017
” It is an honour and the feeling is still indescribable. I am very humbled to have been crowned as Mrs Klerksdorp 2018 and will make not just the organizers and my supporter but the whole community proud and show them what I am capable of achieving.
The 2018 theme was ‘A Journey of Change’ and we feel that we can change the mindset about the competition. It really transforms a person for the better and if I can get the chance again I will enter again.
We have a lot of plans for the year ahead and ask that the community support us in our project so make Klerksdorp a better place. If we all stand together we can do it like the African proverb: If you want to go fast go alone but if you want to go far: go together. ” Chenel said.
