3 Males aged 36, 39 and 41 have been arrested following a business robbery which took place at Markham, Matlosana Mall on Monday, 08 Oct 2018 at 09:00.

It is alleged the 2 employees were in the store when 3 unknown men, one pretending to be walking with crutches entered. They pointed them with firearms while tying up the other one demanding safe keys which the victim surrendered.

An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the safe and the suspects further demanded cellphone cabinet keys which they managed to get and various cell phones were also stolen as well as Relay jeans.

The suspects then fled the scene on foot while their accomplices allegedly fled on a Black VWPolo GTI and a White Ford Bantam. The swift response of the police led to the arrest of the 3 suspects who were caught after a chase in the bushes next to Matlosana gardens.

14 cellphones, relay schoolbag, crutches and 3 cellphone belonging to the suspects were recovered. No one was injured and the trio is in custody and expected to appear before Klerksdorp Magistrate court on Wednesday, 10 Oct 2018 to face charges of business robbery.
