Jennifer Sharpe-Scott ran 134 km for the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA). She started the first leg on Tuesday, 7 August and ran from Sasolburg to Parys (37km), Wednesday from Parys to Potchefstroom (46 km) and Friday from Potchefstroom to Klerksdorp (51 km) where she ended at the Matlosana Mall.

Jennifer says, “I am personally aquainted with cancer survivors, and have lost a lot of loved ones to cancer. I made a promise to my cousin Adrian, who was also taken at a young age due to cancer, that I would do this in honour of him. I would like to raise funds for CANSA so that I can help those who are not able to run, because of this disease.”

Klerksdorp News met Jennifer just outside Stilfontein where she was accompanied by ER24 and a group of supporters during the last stretch of her race.
